In this podcast I interview environmental toxin expert, Dr. Stewart Lonky. Educating yourself on environmental toxins is important for everyone’s health, but it is paramount for parents of children with autism. People with autism have weak detoxification pathways so they tend to get backed up with a toxic overload even easier than the average person does. What does this mean to you?

Many health and behavioral issues such as anger, anxiety, lack of ability to focus, and digestive disturbance, are common in children with autism. Heavy metals absorption can be a major contributor to these issues and they can prevent anyone, including your child, from getting well.

Heavy metals such as mercury, lead, aluminum and cadmium are dangerous toxins that can be absorbed by your body. They destroy the neurological system, cause autoimmune illnesses, and are carcinogenic.

How To Safely Detoxify Heavy Metals with PBX

Additionally, one mineral in particular, clinoptilolite, a zeolite, has unique properties known for detoxifying toxins and heavy metals including mercury, lead, arsenic, cadmium, and aluminum. Zeolite is a natural chelating mineral. This means that it binds to toxins like a magnet, pulling them from your system, and helping your body excrete them safely.

But you need to be careful! Not all zeolites are effective at detoxification. In fact, most are completely ineffective.

When mined, zeolite has already been in the ground awhile, soaking up lead, arsenic, and other environmental toxins and heavy metals like a sponge. If ingested in its raw form, freshly mined zeolite would be too big and too dirty to work properly. In order to remove toxins from inside of the cells it must be small enough to do so.
