The Covid pandemic has added a new element of stress to our lives. When it does end experts say the element of anxiousness that has developed for individuals is likely to continue much longer that the physical health impact. Don’t get waylaid helping your child because of your personal mental health. The pandemic hit and the shutdown caused anxiousness and depressive symptoms for us, but there is hope.
You don’t have to let this affect you long term. You do have a say in how you live your life.
Mental health issues are on the rise and we need to be taking action now to support our personal needs and the needs of our children. Children with autism are more sensitive than most people. They sense everything around them including the emotions and feelings of their parents. If a child senses a parent is stressed then they naturally have concern about why.
Our kids need us and they need us to be healthy. Not just physically healthy, but mentally healthy too. We don’t have to revert to pharmaceutical drugs for answers. Just as our kids have underlying health issues, so do we. There are natural solutions.
…So what do we do?
Below I’ve listed 7 tips to help you and your child to gain improved physical and mental health, to help restore overall calming.
Gut Health and Diet
Why is diet so important and what are the right foods? Bad foods feed Candida, and parasites. Gut health keeps our immune system strong but also builds necessary neurotransmitters that are made in the gut. Serotonin regulates mood, sleep and appetite. Support Your Liver
A congested liver, toxins such as heavy metals, and mold affect hormones, including our stress hormone cortisol. Liver support with toxin binders is essential when going through any type of detoxification process. They help the liver by pulling out some of the toxic load overburdening it.
Anxiousness comes from many things. External environmental triggers like toxins, but also from internal underlying pathogens and infections. We need to eat right, detoxify and clear underlying pathogens and infections but there are also some natural supplements that can be very helpful during this process and anytime. A few good ones are stress reducer elixir, cannabis or CBD, plus natural brain supplementation including 5HTP is great for uplifting moods. Also be sure there is no mold in your home. Mold exposure can trigger depressive symptoms.

Emotional Mindset Techniques
Emotion code work to release old subconscious patterns that keep us in the stress response and reacting to life’s occurrences rather than responding. Responding is a choice. Count backward from 5, (5,4,3,2,1) then take a deep breath and let it all the way out. Now notice how you feel.
Mindset is all about what we focus on, but the conscious level is not enough. We have to get to the subconscious level. We attract what we think about, desired or undesired. Additionally, tapping acupressure points to assist emotional balancing, also sometimes referred to as Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT, is based on a combination of Chinese medicine (acupressure or meridian points), and Western psychotherapy.
Meridian points are connected to the body’s energy flow. They are like the body’s freeway network for energy. Sometimes this freeway has emotional traffic jams. When this energy flow is disrupted, physical and emotional issues arise.
When stimulated, these acupressure points send signals to the stress centers of the brain. These signals bypass the thinking portion of the brain and get to the subconscious beliefs. The thinking portion of the brain is commonly only accessed during talk therapy. In this situation, the body’s emotional energy pathways are not shifted. This is the key component to why tapping these acupressure points works. It is treating the causes, rather than just the symptoms.

Exercise releases serotonin in our brain so it can actually improve our mood. It’s also healthy for us to move, getting oxygen into our blood and brain, strengthening our muscles and bones and flushing toxins out of our system. Aerobic exercise like running or biking are great but simply going for a short walk can help a lot.
Sleep is crucial to our overall physical and mental health and it’s when our body’s heal. Sleep can be affected by many things too. The stress hormone cortisol can wake you up. During sleep, Candida feeds on your blood sugar. This stresses the body and the brain and your glucose levels are lowered significantly.
Your brain relies on the right amount of glucose to function properly. Therefore, this stress during sleep overworks the adrenal glands due to this imbalance in blood sugar. This triggers Candida Induced Hypoglycemia. A common symptom is waking in the night, usually around 3:00 a.m. The right diet is very important to starve out the candida and kill off the pathogenic overgrowth. Additionally, a supplement that is helpful for sleep issues is restful sleep elixir.
