There’s been a lot of conversation around autism—what’s working, what’s not, and how overwhelmed families can feel trying to support their children in a way that actually makes sense.
After recently hosting a 3-day autism recovery blueprint event where I walked parents through my 4 stage process for optimum results in autism recovery, I wanted to take a moment to slow things down and reflect on it. Not to introduce something new—but to share what I’ve been seeing consistently inside the Naturally Recovering Autism membership.
(By the way, if you missed the 3-day event you may still be able to catch the replays before the links expire by going to NaturallyRecoveringAutism.com/GO.)
Because sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer isn’t another strategy, but a clear concise roadmap that a parent can follow…
Plus, real stories from real families who are walking this path too.
Why my program exists
When my own son was diagnosed with autism 20 years ago now, I was told to drug him and try behavioral therapies-basically, good luck. They told us we would be managing his symptoms the rest of his life.
Fortunately, my background as a Craniosacral Therapist studying the brain and holistic health let me know the brain can and does heal, but I had to research autism more specifically to find out what was going on and what the solutions were so my son could live his best life possible.
Naturally Recovering Autism was created with a simple, but often overlooked belief:
when the body is supported in a holistic, gentle, and consistent way, it has an incredible ability to move toward balance.
This isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all answers.
It’s about education, nervous system support, detox pathways, lifestyle shifts, clearing coinfections and empowering parents to understand why they’re doing what they’re doing, and HOW to do it.
And over time, that support adds up.
Success Stories
Inside the membership, families often share changes that may feel small at first—but are deeply meaningful:
- Parents noticing improved speech, focus, calmer transitions, or better sleep
- Children becoming more regulated, more present, or more communicative
- Families feeling less overwhelmed and more confident in their daily decisions
One parent shared that for the first time, they felt like they weren’t “chasing symptoms,” but instead supporting their child’s body in a way that finally made sense.
Another family talked about how having ongoing education and community helped them stay consistent—without burnout or fear.
These aren’t promises. They’re possibilities—and they’re unfolding in unique ways for each child.
Why Testimonials Matter
I share these stories not to say that one path works for everyone, but because hope matters, and to know what is possible, regardless of what you’ve been told in the past by anyone!
When you’re supporting a child with autism, it’s easy to feel alone or unsure if what you’re doing is making a difference.
Hearing from other families can remind you that progress doesn’t always look dramatic—but it is happening.
And often, it starts with understanding the body differently.

Like this one from Mary: see podcast #182 NaturallyRecoveringAutism.com/182 .
Mary is a mom I helped through my 4-stage process. Her son, Kevin, has had fantastic results from it.
Mary had worked with an autism doctor for 4 years and had little to no results from that with Kevin. She said she was “at the end of her rope” when she found me. At age 13 Kevin was hiding under his school desk in his classroom biting and kicking other kids. He could not stay at school and was not learning. Mary was called to pick him up so often that she was missing a lot of work too.
After reading many testimonials Mary took a leap of faith and joined the Naturally Recovering Autism membership program.
Within a year Kevin was in school, calm, happy and attentive. Mary continues on in the program and now in year 3, Kevin is the teen leader at his school youth camp, loved by all the kids he works with, and Kevin remains happy and healthy and is finally living the life he deserves.
Mary said,
I stopped going to Autism Doctors. I have received better results from Karen’s program than any Autism Doctor.
Please listen to Mary share her story in this podcast interview with Karen at NaturallyRecoveringAutism.com/182

Get Your Free Food Guide!
Quickly Reduce Your Child’s Symptoms of Autism by Eliminating 7 Foods Most People Consume Daily!
The first crucial step of autism recovery is to begin restoring health to the gut and the immune system.
The health of the gut is directly linked to the health of the brain and therefore to the symptoms of autism. In fact, 80% of the immune system comes from the gut so if the gut is not healthy, then the brain can’t thrive, and the immune system is compromised. It’s a vicious cycle, but thankfully, it’s one that we can put an end to by first eliminating harmful foods.
- Harmful Foods: Identify the foods that worsen autism symptoms and understand the science behind their impact.
- Smart Food Choices: Learn about easy dietary swaps that can significantly enhance sleep, clarity of thought, and emotional well-being.
- Practical Implementation: Get valuable tips on how to implement these dietary changes easily and effectively.
This is for informational purposes only and is not meant to diagnose or treat. Every child’s level of recovery is different. No two people are the same. It is never implied that all children will have the same outcome. Results are all based on individual biology and the work that is done. This process takes time and various steps, effort and resources need to be weighed. Our programs are intended to help you become more knowledgeable and guide you to help bring your child a better quality of life, whatever that may be. We want to help by giving great content, direction and strategies that move you forward. Nothing on this page or any of our websites is a promise or guarantee of results or future outcomes. The results on this page and any of our websites are not typical or promised. In fact, there will be people who purchase this and other programs and never put the work into implementing the strategies taught and therefore will achieve little to no results.
